Donating your books is easy!

The Friends gratefully accept books, commercially recorded audio books and music CDs and DVDs in plastic cases.

Guidelines are simple. Please only donate items in good condition (gently used). Ask yourself if the condition is such that you would buy the book.

Sorry, we cannot resell:

  • Dirty, musty, damp, stinky, highlighted or damaged items
  • Medical, business, computer, financial or legal books more than five years old
  • Textbooks and encyclopedias
  • Old paperback romances or Reader’s Digest condensed books
  • Popular magazines
  • Video tapes or vinyl records of any kind
  • Pamphlets, catalogs, scrapbooks, etc.

You can leave your donations at the Shelton Library Check Out Desk. Any questions, please Contact us.

Monetary donations are always welcome!

Please mail checks to:
